BSBPMG511 Manage Project Scope

Project Management is a specialist field. Students undertaking project management will be required to gain all-inclusive knowledge and will ultimately need a variety of skills if they are to successfully complete compliant assessment for the Diploma of Project Management. GeSS project management resources will ensure that RTOs are delivering comprehensive content authored by skilled, experienced and highly trained Project Management professionals. It is imperative that students have access to both the student and teacher resources that GeSS provides in order for them to maximise their learning potential in this specialist field, and be able to undertake GeSS's robust and in-depth assessment for this qualification. Once students pass the GeSS project management assessment, they can be assured that they will be able to work in the industry. Because of this, GeSS strongly recommends that RTOs purchase the teacher resources for each project management unit of competency.

This particular unit of competency describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to determine and manage project scope. It involves obtaining project authorisation, developing a scope-management plan, and managing the application of project scope controls. This student workbook covers each of the elements within this unit of competency in a sequenced manner incorporating videos, readings, templates and activities. The workbook is developed to ensure that students have been provided with sufficient content and knowledge to undertake GeSS's assessment for this unit.
